Briggs Electric has been streamlining projects with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM). Most think of this technology only before a project begins, but it’s also helpful in facilities management, estimating and purchasing after completion. We use this technology to create 2D and 3D layouts that facilitate a faster and more cost-effective installation of electrical equipment and supply routing; verify required code clearances; and determine the proper location of underground piping. This modeling will help eliminate errors, RFIs, costly change orders, lost time and rework due to incomplete instructions.
